So in an effort to make my pearls a bit funkier and to get more wear out of them, I'm hopping outside the box. Here is my first attempt.

Here is a close up version...

This pendant had two jump rings on the back, so I added two more and placed them between the pearls. This way I can remove them at any time and did not damage the necklace. Just showing that something simple can really make a difference when re-purposing that vintage or broken jewelry we all love.
That's it for now, I'll be back soon. Take care.

Great idea, Susan. I have 3 strands of pearls that were my husbands mother's. He said I could re-string them or do whatever with them. I think something fun is in order for them that is for sure. I never thought out of the box with them, now I just might.
If you have any ideas, shoot em out there! They have those really cool old clasps, I would love to make those the focal point.
Love it. A funky twist with pearls. Great job.
I really dig it. Great twist on a classic.
