Here is my first attempt at paper casting.
Crusades #20 is paper casting, I saw this over on
Maralena's blog and decided to try it. The butterfly is done from an Amaco mold and the figure is my own hand carved stamp. I added watercolor to the tissue when I did the butterfly for a different look. These will make interesting elements for all kinds of art. Give it a try and show us your results.
I have several other projects in the works. I'll keep you posted. See you later!

You hand carved the figure one!!? Beautiful Susan!! xo...jenn
Susan - these are fab! Love the ruffley edges, and the color is yummy too. Thanks for coming to play!!
Those castings are lovely - what a great idea! I once made handmade paper with a blender, old flyers and a window...safe to say it was nothing near as nice, but still quite tricky, so that looks very impressive. I love the watercolour...and maybe some glitter? (Or maybe I'm a little too obsessed with glitter....)
Great casts! Did you say the figure was hand carved? Very impressive! I had no idea this would turn out so well with hand carved stamps. Thanks for the inspiration.
Very cool - and I am so impressed that you hand carved the figure. The soft colours you've used look lovely and feminine.
You just do all kinds of cool stuff girl!
Hi Susan,
looks GREAT! The idea of using handcarved stamps had not come across yet... Thanks for sharing!

I love the colours on the butterfly - very soft and pretty.
Dangit ... ya'll need to stop distracting me with these shiny things! I finally got a journal finished. One. Still working on the others. And this casting thingy ... ooooh the possibilities.
HUGS!

Susan - I love your casts! You are a very talented artist!! - Nicki
Gorgeous results... I love that you added watercolours to the butterfly. I'm anxious to play now - just wondering if I should start before or after cooking!! *g*
Love the casting! ! Love the new pieces you added to the store.
Now there's something I haven't tried yet. Yours are great!
Bonjour Michelle! Your little carved avatar is great! So are your paper pulp molds. Funny, we are in the process of making homemade paper, my son and I. We will be adding ALL kinds of recycled stuff in there, feathers, glitters, flowers, sand, seeds, etc. It is great that you try tons of different art possibilities! Love that openess of mind! Thanks for visiting often! Take care, LuLu
Susan,
These are special pieces. Oh and your banner is great too.

Love the delicate colorings. I am awestruck by your hand-carved stamp! Great stuff! Marilyn
These look great and I am disappointed I can't get a big and clear enough image to see your hand carving in more detail, it looks truly amazing.
