Self portraits

I've been thinking of doing a series of self portraits this year.  Don't know if they will all be photographs, or if some may end up as paintings. Who knows.  Anyway, here is just a basic one taken while holding the camera in my hand.

My hubby used to be so concerned about making sure every photo of him was flattering.  Me, not so much.  I've earned this silver hair and these crows feet and neck creases. Seriously, how many of you retouch photos of yourself before posting them?  I've decided not to.  What you see is what you get.

Happy Monday.

(Just noticed that this is my 500th post on blogger.  Do I get some kind of award?)

WOW, 500! Congrats. I'm looking forward to 100-LOL
I didn't retouch my kitty's picture and if I had one of me I'd guess I'd feel the same. In the words of the infamous philospher "Popeye the Sailor Man"-"I AMS WHAT I AMS" ;-)

I personally try to stay away from my double chin pics, but I never retouch photos of myself. I love real photos of other people. Well, and you know I adore your silver hair.

You look gorgeous! I noticed too you have lost weight. (I'm sure its from the stress) :> (
You mean there's a way I can remove my crows feet, laugh lines and creased furrowed brow in my photos? Nah. What you see is what you get. I'm fine with all my lines and creases. Although I'm not diggin' this double chin I'm starting to sprout. :> )

Hi, Susan! YOU look GORGEOUS! It has taken me almost three years to totally grow out every last bit of hair-coloring, and I embrace my silvery hair! I just wish it was a little MORE silver! Have not quite embraced my crepe-y neck, but am working on it...♥
Congratulations on your 500th post! That is indeed an accomplishment!
Thank you so much for visiting me, my Dear, and for your sweet comments!
Hugs,
Anne

Congrats of post 500! I look forward to seeing more self-portraits...I did one for a class a few months ago (the inner me) and scared everyone! It was a real eye-opener for me, however, and I am making radical changes in my life because of it. And yes, you deserve an award for 500...it is a real commitment to yourself to do that many!
